Charities & groups we support
We are committed to supporting our local community, through sponsorship of local events, taking part in challenges for charity and supporting fundraising events.
We bi-annually hold a Charity Challenge event for local professional firms to compete against each other in an evening of fun sporting challenges. Fiducia has sponsored the Dedham 10K Run in aid of the local primary school for several years and this forms a core part of our community action and spirit. We also support the national Christmas Jumper Day in December for Save the Children and have held Coffee Mornings for Macmillan Cancer Care. In recent years we have played a larger role in the Colchester community as sponsors of the Colchester Carnival, Colchester Schools Prom and the Colchester Half Marathon.
For 2021, we have chosen to partner with the Citizens Advice Colchester (CAC). CAC was founded in 1939 to help the people of Colchester and its surrounding area cope with the challenges of war but today helps thousands of people cope with all manner of financial hardships, working at the very heart of our local community.
Announcing this partnership, Managing Director Gordon Kearney says:
“There are several reasons why we have chosen Citizens Advice Colchester (CAC) as our Charity of the Year. Their tireless work to support those affected by financial hardship is one of them. As financial advisers, financial freedom remains the goal we seek for all our clients regardless of financial status and for this reason our chosen charity this year – amidst the pandemic – is as poignant and relevant as it is close to our values.”
Fiducia is also a proud sponsor of a race mark in West Mersea in support of the West Mersea Yacht Club
For 2020/21 our nominated charity is the Alzheimers Society

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity. They campaign for change and fund research to find a cure and support people living with Dementia.
Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and there’s currently no cure. Working with partners, fundraisers and donors, the charity aims to achieve their vision – a world without dementia.
