Developments in Dedham – April 2024
At Fiducia Wealth Management, we are excited to share the latest developments and milestones achieved by our growing firm. As a Chartered Financial Adviser, we remain committed to providing exceptional service and expertise to our clients.
We are thrilled to welcome two new additions to our team. Lucy Hillman has joined our Client Services Team, bringing over 13 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 5 years as a Manager within Wealth Management. Her expertise will undoubtedly enhance our client experience.
Additionally, Verity Wilford has joined us as a Paraplanner, with over four years of experience in the financial services industry. Verity is currently working towards the CII Diploma in Financial Planning, further strengthening our team’s qualifications.
In an exciting development, Susie Laws, our esteemed Co-Owner and Chartered Adviser, has been appointed as the Chair for the Essex Personal Finance Society.
This prestigious accolade is a testament to Susie’s dedication and expertise in the field of personal finance. Additionally, Fiducia has had its Chartered Status renewed by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), highlighting our commitment to maintaining the highest standards and excellent levels of service for our clients. Here’s a very smiley Susie showing off her medal of honour and our coveted corporate chartered crest – now proudly displayed in our offices.
To better serve our clients in Essex, we are pleased to announce the opening of a new office location in Brentwood, Essex. This strategic move further solidifies our position as the best local Chartered Financial Adviser in the area, enabling us to provide convenient and accessible services to both current and potential new clients.
In addition to our new Brentwood office location, we have also completed a refurbishment of the reception area at our Dedham headquarters. This fresh, modern update provides a welcoming and comfortable environment for our clients to enjoy when they visit our offices. The reception area now features stylish furniture, warm lighting, and a contemporary design aesthetic that reflects our professional yet approachable brand. We believe these improvements will enhance the overall client experience and make every visit to Fiducia a truly pleasant one.
If you have followed our developments for sometime, you may be aware that we believe in giving back to the local community that has supported us. With this in mind, we are pleased to have renewed our sponsorship of the Mercury Theatre in Colchester. Several of our team members, along with professional connections, attended a production of “Dear England” in February, all having a great time. Additionally, we continue to support Colchester Rugby Club and invited a number of professional connections to a match in February as the side chased back to back promotions. Since attending the game the club have indeed achieved promotion yet again, a huge congratulations to everyone at CRFC!

Behind the scenes, we are working tirelessly to integrate more automated work processes to improve our client experience. Gordon Kearney is spearheading several projects that will save time for both our team and our clients, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
Whilst on the topic of Fiducia Co-Owner and adviser Gordon, we congratulate Gordon on being recognised in The Times’ VouchedFor Top Financial Advisers list. A huge accolade for both Gordon and Fiducia Wealth Management.
It wouldn’t be a Development in Dedham blog without mentioning Susie Laws more than once. Our highly decorated, multi award winning Susie has once again been featured on BBC London and Radio 5 Live radio several times, sharing her expertise and insights with a wider audience.
To showcase our growing media presence, we have launched a new “Fiducia in the Media” section on our website. This dedicated page highlights our team members’ appearances and contributions across various media outlets, including Susie’s recent radio features. We believe this initiative not only demonstrates our commitment to thought leadership and industry expertise but also provides a valuable resource for clients and the wider community to access our insights and perspectives on financial matters.
Before Christmas, we held a collection of food and gifts for our company’s charity of the year, Lighthouse Women’s Aid, demonstrating our commitment to supporting local causes and giving back to the community. Building on this, we also held a collection to support Lighthouse with their Easter Egg collection. By contributing to this initiative, we were able to bring joy and happiness to those supported by Lighthouse during the Easter season. Our team is dedicated to making a positive impact in the community and actively participating in charitable endeavours that align with our values. A huge well done to Laura King for leading the rest of the team with these efforts.
Things to look forward to…
We have some exciting events on the horizon, including a Charity Football Tournament on May 28 at Colchester Power League and our famous Charity Challenge event held at our offices in Dedham. Our most talked about event – the Fiducia Charity Challenge – will be going ahead on June 28 at our offices. This is an event the entire team at Fiducia look forward to as we invite local businesses to our offices to compete in several ‘sports day themed’ games in aid of charity.

So, as the season transitions and spring’s vibrant hues begin to paint the landscape, we can’t help but feel invigorated by nature’s rallying call, echoing the late Robin Williams’ jovial sentiment, “Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘Let’s party!'”
