To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often – Winston Churchill

Firstly, a belated Happy New Year to all, 2022 has arrived and we are extremely excited for what the next twelve months have in store for us as a company. Change is constant in business and to some extent life too, at Fiducia we embrace change with both hands, more so over the past couple of months.

Our team have been extremely busy implementing change and identifying areas of our business that can be improved in the future, allowing us to continue our excellent service to clients.

We are in the process of changing our client portal which will allow our existing and new clients easier access to their portfolios, records and data. This is an exciting development and an example of our continued pursuit to embrace change to improve our client experience. We’ll provide a full announcement once the new portal goes live.

Keeping with the change theme for a moment, we have also been busy moving the business into a ‘cloud-based’ business, meaning we have finally moved off a server and entered into the world of cloud storage. The benefits of this are huge for everyone in the company as we navigate between remote/office workers in the future.

In terms of staff news and updates, Rob Reed has successfully completed his probation period and Jack Walmsley has been signed off and fully added to our adviser team as a Chartered Financial Planner.

Well done to both Rob and Jack, we look forward to seeing your careers flourish in the future with us.

Every member of our staff have been performing to the highest standards over a busy Christmas period and we’d like to thank each member for their continued contribution to our mission.

Over the past couple of months, we have been revisiting our promotional material to better help people understand specific services and products we feel are important where personal finance is concerned. We now have a range of brochures and guides that we believe you will find useful, one of which is a ‘What I own & Where I Keep it’ document, this can be extremely useful for your family should anything untoward happen unexpectedly. You can safely download it for free here.

All our material will soon be available on our website, in the meantime if you would like more information on our guides, please feel free to speak to a member of our team.

Talking of websites, our website has moved hosts too and we’re pleased to announce we will be working with Concept Original going forward into 2022. We’ll begin making small changes to our website over time to better improve any visitor experience and their understanding of Fiducia and our services and expertise.

In early January, Gordon and Susie discussed our Charity giving and efforts within the local community. We’re pleased to announce in 2022 we will be looking to do more and more in this space to support causes we, as a company, feel passionate about.

To that end, on Thursday 7th of April we will be hosting a Charity Quiz with all Net proceeds going to Citizens Advice – Colchester. If you’d like more information on this event please speak to a member of our team, individuals and teams are welcome. It’s being held at Colchester Rugby Football Club from 6pm, hot food will be served and drinks will be available from the bar.

To further our commitment to charities and the local community, we are also establishing an employee Charity giving committee to identify where we as a company can provide time individually or together to causes within the community. This will include volunteering days where our employees help local charities on specific projects.

Our School’s Initiative is also continuing too, in early February, Susie and a couple of other team members will be visiting the pupils of Framlingham College to deliver an insightful presentation on personal finance and the need for good savings habits. We’re passionate about helping educate the future generations about personal finance, this is the first of several events lined up in our school’s program for 2022.

From a social perspective, we are also pleased to announce the continuation of our Young Professional – Next Generation Networking events. Our next event will be held in Chelmsford during April. If you’d like more details, or to be notified when more details are available, please contact a member of our team.

So, for now, after we have all navigated our way through Plan B and the reintroduction of working from home if you can or go to the office if you must, we salute and embrace 2022 and wish you all the very best for what the next 12 months hold for you.

Please remember our team are here to help you and/or your family and friends with anything finance related – please feel free to speak/introduce friends and family to a member of our team for a free initial meeting.

From the entire team at Fiducia, until our next update, we wish you well.
