Developments in Dedham – July 2021

Restrictions ease in England, lots of Sport and more growth here at Fiducia

Over the past month we have seen a valiant effort by the England football team at the Euro’s, a successful start to the British Lions tour of South Africa and several medals for Team GB at the opening week of the Olympics. But these were not the only talking points here at Fiducia.

We have continued with our growth plans here in Dedham. We are delighted to announce, as of the beginning of July, Matt Lovell has joined the Fiducia family as Business Strategy Manager.

We are also pleased to announce, following lockdown restrictions being lifted in England, we are once again able to offer our clients face to face meetings. The safety of you and our team remains paramount and should you prefer meetings by telephone, Skype, MS Teams or Zoom – all will continue to be available to ensure your needs are fully met.

In other exciting news, we are immensely proud to announce we have become a Platinum Sponsor of local amateur sports club Colchester Rugby Club (CRFC). We look forward to attending games and becoming more involved with CRFC at its brand-new facilities at Raven Park. If you have the opportunity to visit a game once the season starts, be sure to keep an eye out for our company name on the Firsts shirts and our signage around the pitch.

We are committed to supporting our local community, CRFC provide rugby to hundreds of youths in the area and with their new facilities, they themselves have huge potential to grow in the future.

Whilst we continue along our growth journey, both Gordon and Susie are keen to invest in our people, not just professionally but in their personal development too. During the last week of July our team had the pleasure of undertaking a resilience workshop held by Simon Jeffries of The Natural Edge. With change being one of the more constant things in life, in a growing company – and in a world where we are all becoming re-accustomed to a life without restrictions, it helps to practise resilience. All members of the team reported positive feedback, which was pleasing for our leadership team. Thank you, Simon, for an excellent workshop.

In case you wondered, like most workplaces, we had a Euro’s football sweepstake in the office. A huge congratulations from all of the team must go to Cheryl for being the winner with Italy.

So, as July passes and August begins – hopefully with a bit more sun, we’d like to wish you all a great start to the summer, whatever your plans are.
