Since our last ‘Developments in Dedham’ the Referendum on British membership has taken place which produced what was widely accepted to be a surprise result in favour of Brexit.

The Summer webcast with Michael Hughes explores the implication for the UK economy and investment markets generally and you will find this on our website. The Fiducia portfolios have shown positive performance since the vote.

Fiducia continues to expand and I am delighted that we have added two new senior and experienced Advisers. Paul Shadbolt joined us in July and Daniel Kern is set to join us at the end of August. In order to provide the technical resources to support Paul and Daniel we recently recruited David Ginnaw and David Tredgett to our Technical Services Team, led by Richard Heath.

I am also very pleased to say that Heather Pankhurst joined last month as my new PA and Melanie Willis has joined us as an Executive Assistant to strengthen our company marketing and public relations activity.

As a company we are all looking forward to the Fiducia Dedham Run on 18 September, the first year we have sponsored this event which is now well established. I can recall taking part in what was then the very first Dedham Fun Run – yes it was that long ago! You can find full details of this year’s event at www.dedhamrun.co.uk and I would invite you to share the information with friends and family and come and support the competitors on the day. Fiducia have entered a team in the 10k race led by our very own Marathon Man Richard Heath.

As some of you will know, we have been shortlisted for a Moneyfacts Financial Adviser of the Year award and I would like to personally thank everyone who has provided a testimonial for us as part of the assessment process. Gordon Kearney will be representing Fiducia at the Awards evening in London and we will let you know the outcome in due course.

I hope you are having a good Summer and that the warmer weather continues for as long as possible.

Best wishes,
John Millican
