Developments in Dedham – September 2021
‘Just like that’ said Tommy Cooper and something similar could be heard around our offices during September as the month seemed to whizz by with a flurry of events unfolding here at Fiducia.
Our growth plans continue on track and this month we’re pleased to announce the arrival of three new people joining the Fiducia team.
Our office refit has firmly begun, this is something both Gordon and Susie have been looking forward to since they became Co-Owners last year. Our teams have adapted to flexible working with ease and no disruption has been seen to our peoples productivity or our client delivery. We look forward to seeing the completed works mid-October, keep an eye out for our before, during and after photo’s later this month.
In our continued support of Colchester Rugby Club (CRFC), Gordon, Susie and Matt attended the recent home fixture against Shelford. Unfortunately, CRFC were unsuccessful in what was an eventful match with the score finishing 38-17 to Shelford. That said, all three and some of their family members enjoyed a superb lunch and the hospitality of CRFC.
On the same day as the rugby match, our sponsored event at the Colchester Centurion Race Series commenced. The Fiducia Wealth Management Men’s 3rd/4th Category race was the first of it’s kind in Colchester. This race certainly lived up to its billing, with attacks for the lead starting as soon as the flag dropped. Early leader Mark Harris of Onimpex Bioracer RT stayed out on a solo break for much of the race, before being hauled back by the chasing peloton in the closing stages. Josh Brown of Tofauti Everyone Active launched a late attack, only to be swamped in the final couple of corners.
In the sprint for the line, the honours went to young Calum Moir, a fantastic win in adult company for the Under 16 National Champion. To the right is both Susie and Gordon standing proudly with the podium finishers after the race.
In other news, we’re also immensely proud of our Business Strategy Manager Matt Lovell for taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon. A thigh strain at mile 15 put rest to any hope of a sub 4hr Marathon and he hobbled over the finish line in a respectable 4hrs 46mins, raising money for a Charity called REACH – a riding school for the disabled. We’d like to express a huge congratulations to anyone who took part in the London Marathon, raising funds for excellent causes in the process.
And finally, we have welcomed not one, not two, but three new faces to the Fiducia offices for their first day of being part of our team.
[From left to right in the above photo] Joining from Scrutton Bland are Financial Adviser Rob Wood and Paraplanner Hazel Wood (no relation to one another) and James Crisell, who joins us from TSP Legal to take the position of Clients Services Administrator & Investment Assistant. We wish them all the very best in their positions and look forward to watching them excel with in our team.
So, as October unfolds and Autumn sets in, be sure to know if you or any of your friends are in need of any financial advice, we are here to help.
