Like most August months, there’s been holidays, the West Mersea Regatta and this year we have invested further into our local community.

August is always a busy month here at Fiducia, this year was no different.

With the team taking annual leave throughout the month to spend time with their family, holidaying or just having a time out, everyone has worked collectively to deliver outstanding work for our clients. We’ve had several client reviews to undertake and with team members out of the office it has been great to see the workflow continue without any slow-down. Congratulations to Practice Manager Liz on co-ordinating the efforts to ensure our business performance levels remained high.

The month itself got off to a great start with the news Susie Laws, winner of the 2020 Women in Finance ‘Financial Adviser of the Year’ award, was nominated again for the same award this year.

We’re really proud Susie has received the nomination and have everything crossed for back-to-back awards. The nomination is a result of the relentless effort Susie goes to everyday as an Adviser, Co-owner and leader of the business and people here at Fiducia. Good luck Susie, from all of the team.

Mid-way through the month, our team had the opportunity to visit Colchester Rugby Club (CRFC) to speak with club representatives and other sponsors whilst taking in a 1st XV’s friendly game. It was an action-packed game which saw CRFC come out as winners – something we hope continues as the new season approaches. It was great to see the club welcoming people to their brand-new facility and we look forward to having a presence at every home game in the coming season.

In our continued efforts to support the local community, we are really pleased to announce another exciting sponsorship. A new British Cycling Event is taking place at the Colchester Northern Gateway Sports Park – the Colchester Centurion Autumn Race Series. We have sponsored the Senior 3/4 series which begins on Saturday 25th of September. This series will now be known as the Fiducia Wealth Management Colchester Centurion Men’s 3/4 Series. You can read more about our sponsorship in our recent press release here.

We couldn’t write about Developments in Dedham during August without mentioning the West Mersea Regatta. As sponsors of the event, it was a fun-filled day for anyone that attended. A day of boat racing, dinghy races and water sports – including the famous ‘Walking the Greasy Pole’ event, if you wasn’t able to attend this year, be sure to check it out next year. The firework display in the evening was outstanding and we’d like to congratulate all the volunteers involved in creating such a great event.

So, as September begins, schools reopen and offices begin welcoming back staff, it is likely life will seem to resemble a little more like it did pre-Covid. Please remember Covid is still a threat, please continue to be vigilant and please remember we are here if you’d like any financial advice.
