Jamie’s career in financial services began in the money markets as a broker to investment banks focused on trading interest rate swaps. This gave him an up-close experience of the markets which can’t be obtained from a textbook.
After becoming a dad, he decided to change direction within financial services and become a financial planner. He’s now diploma-qualified and working towards Chartered status.
Jamie enjoys his role and gets a lot of fulfilment from helping clients understand the truth about their money and achieve their desired outcomes with simple, effective, objective-driven financial planning.
How Jamie
switches off
Jamie is a proud dad to four children. When he’s not at work, he does his best to switch off and be fully present with his family, whether that’s playing in the garden or making up silly games with the kids.
When time allows, Jamie enjoys reading about business, finance and personal development. He’s also a keen golfer, enjoys watching Formula 1, and loves heading out for dinner with Mrs Payne.
Life at home is rarely quiet. Alongside their four children, they have two dogs and a horse, making for a busy, chaotic, and wonderfully happy household that Jamie wouldn’t change for anything.

Learn to sail, play at the Pebble Beach golf course, and visit Lake Garda in Italy.
On an ideal weekend, where can we find you?
Spending time down the golf range or on the course with my son, or having a nice day out with the family, followed by a roast or BBQ.
