Our fees explained
We want to take the mystery out of financial planning costs, so you can clearly see the typical charges for each stage of our advice below.
What it costs
To maintain complete transparency, we’ve set out our fees on our website along with some examples to help you understand what you might typically expect to pay depending on your circumstances. These are designed as a guide, and we’ll confirm your exact fees with you after our first meeting.
We’ll also talk you through the different payment options and make sure any questions you have are fully answered. Nothing is charged until we’ve agreed with you how we’ll be paid. If VAT applies, we’ll let you know.
Discovery meeting
The first meeting we have together is what we call the discovery meeting. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know you and what you require, but most importantly, it’s where you decide whether we’re the right fit for your needs. Financial planning can be a lifelong commitment, so we want you to get it right.
What we charge: Nothing.
This is without cost or obligation to proceed.
“I had a free initial meeting, and I was taken aback by the honesty and helpful advice they offered me”

Initial planning
During the initial planning stage, we acquire as much relevant information as possible to identify your current situation, needs and objectives.
Based on the information provided, we’ll prepare a report. This can vary in complexity according to your personal circumstances and the planning objectives. The cost of the report will increase in relation to our time costs. We will identify the fee to be charged following our first meeting, and this will be confirmed shortly afterwards.
What we charge:
For a straightforward investment, such as an ISA or General Investment Account, the fee would begin at £750.
For lifetime cashflow analysis, the fee would begin at £750.
For pension consolidation or retirement pension planning, the fee would begin at £1,000.
For Inheritance Tax planning, the fee would begin at £1,500.
Implementation
If you’d like us to implement the recommendations identified during the initial planning stage, we would charge a separate fee for this.
This involves us turning our recommendations into real financial arrangements and implementing the changes on your behalf. It typically includes setting up or adjusting financial products, submitting applications to providers, coordinating transfers of existing assets, and liaising with solicitors, accountants, or other professionals where needed.
What we charge:
The implementation fee depends on the complexity of the advice but is capped at a maximum of 3%.
For example:
We provided you with a retirement planning report and charged a fee of £1,000. We then arranged a personal pension transfer of £300,000 on your behalf. We would charge an implementation fee of £3,000 (£300,000 x 1%).
