Meet Lewis: Get to know your Fiducia Financial Planning team
At Fiducia, we love building close, lasting relationships with our clients.
While working together, we enjoy getting to know all about you and your life. We get to hear about your loved ones, your goals, and your priorities – as well as the ins and outs of your finances.
But as financial planners, we might not share quite so much about ourselves. To help you get better acquainted with the people supporting your financial goals, we’re putting each member of the Fiducia team in the spotlight to share more about their role, passions, and hobbies.
This month, we caught up with Lewis Manners. Read on to find out more about Lewis, from his day-to-day role here at Fiducia to his impressive flag knowledge.
What does your day-to-day role at Fiducia look like?
As a paraplanner and member of the technical team at Fiducia, no two days are ever the same for me.
My role is to support our advisers by conducting research, analysing client information, and preparing suitability reports for both new and existing clients. I work closely with the advisers and client services team to help deliver high-quality financial planning advice for our clients.
What is your career background?
I graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2023 with a degree in Business Management and Accounting and Finance.
After university, I started the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. I completed the qualification in spring 2025 and joined Fiducia shortly afterwards.
I’m currently working towards Chartered Financial Planner status and continuing to develop my technical knowledge and experience within the profession.
What do you love most about your work at Fiducia?
Without a doubt, my favourite thing about Fiducia is the people I get to work with.
As someone at the beginning of my career, it’s incredibly valuable to be part of such a supportive and knowledgeable team. Everyone is approachable and willing to help, which creates a great environment for learning, development, and collaboration.
What piece of advice would you share with the next generation?
I firmly believe that you can create your own luck.
So, don’t be afraid to ask questions and take opportunities when they come your way.
You don’t need to have all the answers straight away. Being willing to learn, staying curious, and maintaining a strong work ethic will take you a long way – both professionally and personally.
What is the most rewarding part of your role?
Seeing a client’s financial plan come to life, and helping them achieve their goals, is the most rewarding part of my role.
It’s particularly fulfilling to support clients and their families through significant life events and challenging circumstances, knowing that the advice we provide can make a real difference to their financial futures.
What do you think sets Fiducia apart from other financial planners?
At Fiducia, we have a genuine focus on building long-term relationships with clients. Our support goes beyond just numbers on a screen; we partner closely with our clients to understand their wants, needs, preferences, goals, and concerns.
That way, we can provide truly personalised advice and make recommendations that work for each unique set of circumstances – not just for the majority.
How do you spend your free time?
At the moment, much of my free time is spent studying towards my Chartered qualification.
Outside of work and study, I enjoy spending time with my partner, family, and friends. I’ve also recently taken up golf, which has been a great way to challenge myself and get outdoors (although there’s still plenty of room for improvement!).
Quick quiz
1. What’s something you’re surprisingly good at?
I’ve always had an interest in geography and a good memory for country flags and place names. Give me a flag, and there’s a good chance I can tell you where it’s from.
2. What’s your pet peeve?
Poor driving.
3. What are you most looking forward to in the next 12 months?
Professionally, I look forward to passing more of my Chartered exams and continuing to develop my career at Fiducia. Outside of work, I’m looking forward to improving my golf game, although that may take a little longer than 12 months!
4. What TV series could you watch repeatedly?
Either The Office or Friday Night Dinner.
