Insufficient financial education could harm the long-term prosperity of younger generations

Research suggests many children aren’t receiving sufficient financial education at school, leaving them ill-equipped to manage their finances as adults.

Financial education was added to the national curriculum in secondary schools in 2014. However, more than a decade later, a report from the All Party Parliamentary Group on Financial Education for Young People found that schools aren’t providing sufficient education on the subject.
