Fiducia Managing Director Gordon Kearney Recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow

We are delighted to share some very special news from Fiducia Wealth Management.

Our Managing Director, Gordon Kearney, has been named a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary – recognition of his longstanding commitment to supporting people and organisations within our local community.

For Gordon, and for everyone at Fiducia, this is a particularly meaningful honour.

Recognising a commitment to the community

The Paul Harris Fellow recognition takes its name from Paul Harris, the Chicago lawyer who founded Rotary with three business associates in 1905. It is used by The Rotary Foundation and Rotary clubs as a way of expressing appreciation for a substantial contribution to humanitarian and other areas of need.

Gordon received his certificate and Paul Harris Fellow pin in recognition of the contribution he has made over recent years, supported by the team at Fiducia Wealth Management and our business partners.

That support has reached a variety of grassroots organisations and charities, including Lighthouse Women’s Aid, St Helena’s and the Rotary Club of Colchester – Youth & Wellbeing Fund.

Most significantly, the fundraising activities Gordon has been involved with have helped to raise more than £50,000 to give back to local communities.

More than fundraising

While raising money is important, community involvement is about more than a figure on a cheque.

It is about people giving their time, bringing others together and using their networks to support organisations doing valuable work at a grassroots level.

That is something Gordon has championed for many years and something the wider Fiducia team has been proud to support.

The Rotary principle of “Service Above Self” therefore makes this recognition especially appropriate. In becoming a Paul Harris Fellow, Gordon joins people around the world who have been recognised for their commitment to helping others and supporting their communities.

Gordon said:

“I’m incredibly honoured to receive this recognition. However, the fundraising we’ve been able to support has never been about one person. So much has been achieved thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of the Fiducia team, our business partners, clients, friends and everyone who has supported our events over the years.

“The most important thing is what that collective effort can do for organisations and people within our local community. I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved together and hope we can continue making a difference.”
