Giving back to our communities
Charitable initiatives are part of who we are, and something the whole team genuinely enjoys getting involved in.
Over the years, with the support of our clients, professional connections, and local businesses, our fundraising activities have helped raise more than £50,000 for charitable causes – something we’re incredibly proud of.
Supporting the communities we’re proud to be part of
As a local business, we believe it’s important to play an active role in supporting the communities around us. For us, being part of a community means contributing to it too.
Throughout the year, we organise a busy calendar of fundraising and community events, bringing together clients, professional connections and local businesses in support of worthwhile causes.
Each year, we choose a charity or cause to focus our fundraising efforts on. In 2025, together we raised an incredible £10,700 for the Rotary Club of Colchester Youth & Wellbeing Fund, through events including our Professional Connections Football Tournament, the annual Fiducia Charity Challenge and a lively quiz night filled with friendly rivalry.
Helping local causes throughout the years
Over the years, our fundraising has supported a wide range of charities, community organisations and local causes doing important work across Essex, Suffolk and beyond.
Together with our clients, professional connections, friends and supporters, we’ve helped to raise more than £50,000 for charity – something everyone at Fiducia is incredibly proud of.
Organisations and causes we’ve been proud to support include:
- Essex Young Carers
- Macmillan Cancer Support
- Essex Community Foundation
- Suffolk Community Foundation
- Lighthouse Women’s Aid, Ipswich
- Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation
- Rotary Club of Colchester Youth & Wellbeing Fund
Behind that total are countless people who have taken part in our charity challenges, football tournaments, quiz nights and other fundraising events over the years.
We’re enormously grateful to everyone who has donated, volunteered, competed, sponsored an event or simply cheered us on. Raising more than £50,000 has been a real team effort, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
Our charity for 2026
This year, we’re delighted to be supporting St Helena Hospice in Colchester, helping to raise funds for the important work it does for local people and their families.
Throughout 2026, we’ll once again be bringing together our team, clients, professional connections and local businesses through a programme of fundraising events and challenges.
We’re looking forward to another fantastic year of fundraising – and to seeing just how much we can achieve together for such an important local cause.
Community spirit in action
Giving back isn’t only about fundraising.
Our Managing Director, Gordon Kearney, also launched the Professional Connections Litter Picking Group, bringing together local professionals every two months to help tackle litter across Colchester’s parks, paths and public spaces.
Alongside our main annual charity commitment and volunteering initiatives, we continue to support a range of local grassroots organisations and causes close to our hearts, including Dedham Old Boys Football Club, Colchester Roller Hockey Club, St Joseph’s College and the Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation.
Whether we’re raising money, volunteering our time or supporting local organisations, we’re proud to play our part in the communities we call home.
