2012 Fund Management Challenge

For those who can’t wait for this summer’s ‘Big Event’ to begin on the 27th July, we have created an appetizer in the form of the Fiducia 2012 Fund Management Challenge to identify the investment champions.

The rules have been drawn up, the races have been run and we can announce the champions- the winner of the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, as well as the overall team ranking tables.

There is even a legacy outcome because the results are made freely available to all to help them in making their investment decisions.

The Fiducia scoring matrix considered the following factors:

  • Standard Deviation – The fund’s volatility over a set period
  • Sharpe Ratio – The fund’s risk adjusted return
  • Information Ratio – The fund manager’s ability to outperform a benchmark relative to the risk taken
