Richard Heath joined on 20th April as Head of Paraplanning. Richard’s appointment represents another significant development as he is a highly experienced Chartered Financial Planner with strong technical knowledge across all areas of financial planning and wealth management. He was previously in the City with Brewin Dolphin for six years and before that he was at Kleinwort Benson Private Bank and Norwich Union (now Aviva).

Richard and Paul Barker are now the dedicated resource of our new paraplanning team.

The wider changes I alluded to above are that we have created a new Client Services team, which is led by Kerry Shillingford, who joined in January last year and has also had several years with City firms. Kerry’s team includes Sarah Dixey, who has also recently joined us. Sarah spent nine years with M&G Investment Managers and Bank of New York Mellon among others and brings valuable experience to this important role. The third member of Kerry’s team is Phillippa Knight, who joined after graduating from The University of Reading last year.

The role of the Client Services Team is to coordinate the activities of the Advisers, Paraplanners and the Investment Team to ensure we are providing a fully coordinated service. The team are also the key point of contact for all our clients in addition to your Adviser.

The final change is the promotion of Angelique to become an Adviser. Angelique, who is known to most of our clients, has been with Fiducia and its predecessor since 2005 and has the Diploma qualification. Her role will be to work closely with me and my personal clients and I will explain more about how that will evolve in due course.

Other News

Richard took part in the London Marathon on 26th April and completed the course in 2 hrs 50 min, which placed him well inside the top 1,000 out of the 36,000 runners who set out. An outstanding achievement, I am sure you will agree.

Emily, who recently left to become a full-time gymnastics coach, has announced her engagement to Lee. Many congratulations to them both.

During the week of 27th April we have begun the interview process for the four national Money Marking Awards that we have been shortlisted for. Gordon, Simon and Tim are appearing before the interview panels.

As you can see, the busy start to the year continues and remains focused on continuing to improve the quality and scope of advice for all our clients.
