I thought you might like a little insight into all the recent news at Fiducia as a counterpoint to all the financial and technical information we usually send you. The Human side of Enterprise if you will.

Gordon and Lisa have a second daughter, Erin, a sister for Evie, who was born in July.

Catherine and I became grandparents when our daughter Rachel gave birth to William John Solly on 1st September. As he was born in Kent and his father is a sports specialist, I already have a vision of him opening the batting at Canterbury one day!

A little later this month our second grandchild is due, a daughter for Laura and James Holland. Mrs Millican will not know whether to point the car north or south on the A12!

Jeremy Charles has recently joined the firm and we are delighted to welcome him. He is a Chartered Wealth Manager and is our Head of Private Clients and Charities. Jeremy has an impressive list of credentials, having been a fund manager with Scottish Widows, Aviva, the Crown Agents and Shell (in the summer climes of Bermuda) before making a career change of direction and obtaining his qualifications to advise clients.

On the subject of examination study and success, there is also much to report. Paul has passed three specialist papers towards his Diploma in Financial Planning. Emily has also passed a number of exams, most recently the first of the Certificate in Financial Services papers. Kerry is also making progress towards the Diploma.

Having passed exams in Equity Release and Long-Term Care Sarah is awaiting news of her approval to become a full member of SOLLA. SOLLA is the leading association of financial advisers providing specialist advice on care for the elderly and long-term care planning.

In addition Sarah along with Simon have started studying for the additional paper they need to achieve Chartered status.

Not to be left out, Paula is now one exam paper away from being awarded ATT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.
